Yoshihiro Okano

Okano was born on 7 June 1912. He was a formerly a fisherman, previously employed by B.C. Packers at Steveston. His family includes Mine Okano (mother; nee Mine Inaba) Sekiji Okano (father; deceased at time of file), Shoichi Matsushita (uncle), Shoichi Katsushita (nephew), and a brother whose name is not provided in the file. His home address is listed as Imperial Cannery, Steveston, BC, where he lived with his brother. He was forcibly uprooted to Three Valley, BC on 21 April 1942 and again to Giscombe, BC on 12 February 1947. His listed seized property includes a gasboat named “Dandelion,” which was purchased by British Columbia Packers Limited.
