His family includes Yone Tanaka (mother), Masuya Takenaka [possibly Masuyo Tanaka] (father), Iwa Tanaka (wife; nee Iwa Nishikawa), and Chieko Tanaka (daughter). His home address is listed as 1024 West 6th Avenue, Vancouver, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Sandon, BC and Lemon Creek, BC. He was exiled to Japan on 17 June 1946.
