She was born on 2 June 1918. She was a dressmaker employed by Mrs. Nakamura. Her family includes Yasaburo Ashizawa (father) and Masaye Shishido (husband). Her home address is listed as 518 Alexander Street Vancouver, BC. She was forcibly uprooted to Tashme, BC and later exiled to Japan in August 1946.
