Teacher assessment for Harold Russell McArthur at Kaslo High School refers to 43 Japanese Canadian students. Inspector F.A. Jewett reports that “Their interest in scholarship can not be otherwise but helpful. There is no embarrassment over war or racial problems. The Japanese students who could not be accommodated are now under the instruction of Japanese High and University students resident in Kaslo. Correspondence work is carried on.”
