This file contains one letter and attached Union of British Columbia Municipalities Resolutions, including one on the "repatriation" of Japanese Canadians and their assets (duplicate of copy in Box 52). Correspondence on 1945 UBCM Resolutions (letter mostly concerned with assessment, cost of education, etc., but resolutions include one on the "repatriation" of Japanese Canadians and care of their assets. Also includes correspondence on the following: District of North Vancouver Refunding Act, personal enquiries (assessment, district drainage, taxation Missionary Bible College), UBCM (Goldenberg Report), annual department report, Town Planning Act Regulations, list municipal officials, South Vancouver Island water supply (letters from Saanich Board of Trade, Associated Boards of Trade, Sidney Businessmen’s Association, and various municipal resolutions for a survey), gravelling Alaska Highway, Smithers Waterworks (inc. Bylaw 117), Oliver (streets), secession Ward 6 Saanich, Ladysmith finances, incorporation White Rock, Mission Waterworks, tax-exemption for naval/army properties in Esquimalt, and a map of Saanich (moved to maps collection).
