Scope and content |
This sub-series contains three files including correspondence between Premier John Hart and the Minister of Labour Humphrey Mitchell regarding the education of Japanese Canadian children in internment and correspondence
between Provincial Secretary P.C. Richards and the Department of National Defence concerning a newspaper report published in the New Canadian discussing conditions of a Japanese Canadian labour camp. Also contains a telegram
sent to Hart requesting the deportation of "all residents of Canada of Japanese origin."
