Her family includes Iwa Shibata (mother; nee Iwa Ichishita), Matsuhei Shibata (father) and Tokutaro Sakata (husband). Her home address is listed as Old Silverdale Road, Mission, BC. She was forcibly uprooted to Tashme, BC. She was exiled to Japan on 31 May 1946.
