Re: 2327 Oxford Street
Dear sirs:
"I have received your favour of the November 1st, and express my dissatisfaction on the sales of my property, without any consultation, expecially in the sales price concern, I never thought that the trustworthy custodian will dispose [?] my property at such a cheap price. Even myself, when I was [?] hurry for evacuation, could have several buyers for more than twice much the value you sold."
Yours truly,
Reg, No. 06144,

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
