File No. 7363
Oakville, Man. Box 45, May 19, 1944.
Office of the Custodian, Dear Sir:
I have received notice sale my property in B. C. has been sold for $366.00. I want you to understood that sale I paid $700.00 for this property.
I bought this land on Dec. 9th of 1933 and if it was worth that amount at that time I would think it worth more than $366.00. I would like to know of this matter very soon.
Yours truly,

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
