The Custodian, 506 Royal Bank Building, Vancouver, B. C. File No. 3357 Dear Sir:
You have informed me that my property known as 20/17/196 has been sold. As you are aware, I have never consented to the sale nor ratified it but have at all times and do now object to the sale of my said property.
Since you have sold my property against my wishes I do not feel justified in paying the Agent's Commission as I have never asked anyone to sell the property.
Yours truly, Tsuneto Yamashita

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
