Her maiden name was Waki Mori, also know as Waki Hashizume. She was born on 10 October 1894. She helped at her son’s confectionery Abbott Confectionery. Her family includes Mitsuo Hashizume (common-law partner), Genya Uyesugi (first husband), Genjiro Mori (father), Toshiko Tohana (daughter; nee Toshiko Uyesugi), Tomiye Uyesugi (daughter), and Kazuo Uyesugi (son). Her home address is listed as 332 Cordova Street, Vancouver BC. She was forcibly uprooted to Farnham, QC.
