            <p>We wish to acknowledge your letter of the <date when="1946-06-15">15th June</date>, in reply to our letter of the <date when="1946-05-16">16th May</date>, in which we reported to you on our administration of your affairs.</p>
            <p>We note your courteous but frank remarks regarding the sale price of your property. The sale of properties were however, carried out under instructions received from the Canadian Government at <placeName>Ottawa</placeName>, and were sold on the basis of appraised valuations. We appreciate that this is a matter of personal concern to you, but this office is unable to consider any other alternative.</p>
            <p>Your letter however, will be placed on your file, where it will be available at any future date.</p>
