                        <p>This file consists of correspondence regarding the "voluntary" liquidation of the <orgName ref="org:hobt1">Hompa Buddhist Temple</orgName> and its property at <address><street><num>604</num> East Cordova Street</street>, <settlement><placeName ref="plc:vanc1">Vancouver</placeName></settlement></address>. Included are records pertaining to <persName ref="prs:kage4">Eikichi Kagetsu</persName> (as the last president of the temple prior to the internment) and the sale of the property. Issues of legal property ownership and the release of funds derived from the property's sale (in order to fund a new organization, the <orgName ref="org:tobc1">Toronto Buddhist Church</orgName>) are raised.</p>
