Halford Wilson was a Vancouver alderman and well-known anti-Orientalist. This file contains miscellaneous notes including a list of articles and textbooks Wilson plans to read. Also in this file is some spoof trial featuring Chief Blunder, Nicklecooper and Ginslinger; a handwritten copy of Ogden Nash’s poem “The Japanese”; and a telephone message reporting a wild arrest: “I understand that Japanese boat tried to escape from Ocean Falls and was stopped by R.C.M.P. and the Officer tried to get aboard the boat and was thrown over the side and held under by the Japs. The R.C.M.P. were reported to have killed three Japs with machine gun fire and brought back the boat.”
