I have been given to understand that there is an opportunity to get into the fishing industry at the present time through the Jap fishing fleet having been taken over. I would like what information you can give as regards to purchase of a boat and equipment and cost of same and what terms can be obtained. Also the seasonal fishings and possible catches that may reasonably expected and value of same. Any information will be much appreciated as I have been considering moving to the coast but cannot afford to do so without having some occupation. I may say that while I am on the reserve list of Canadian Officers, being a veteran, it is not likely that I will be called as I am 59 years of age. Please also advise me as to the likely costs of a fishing crew etc.
