why would ANYBODY go there? To teach Japanese,That's right. Right. Students. Hmm. I, I must, say, I never had any thoughts like that at all. I thought they were students. I think you were the same. Oh, sure they were, lovely students. Mhm, well they turned out to be, yes. About what year is this, that, uh, '51, I think, '50, '51. When you went there. Mhm. Okay. And uh, what were your, your first, impressions, we got a little bit of, a taste of that, but your first impressions of, of where you were going to live and teach.
