He was born in approximately 1899. He was a self-employed gardener. His family includes Kura Abe (wife), Fumio Abe (son), and Kanao Abe (son). His home address is listed as 1533 West 3rd Avenue, Vancouver, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Tashme, BC and exiled to Japan on 2 August 1946.
