He was born in 1897 or 1898. He was a millhand employed by BC Fir & Cedar Company Limited. His family includes Yoshi Fujii (wife). His home address is listed as 576 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Angler, ON and was exiled to Japan on 2 October 1946.
