She was a student at Fairview High School of Commerce. Her family includes Kiyo Fukumoto (mother; nee Kiyo Iwasaki) and Ichitaro Fukumoto (father). Her home address is listed as 130 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver, BC. She was forcibly uprooted to Lemon Creek, BC. She was exiled to Japan on 1946.
