He was born on 15 December 1890. He was a manager for Box Mill. His family includes Rai Fukunaga (wife; nee Rai Shosuke; in Japan), Sakuhei Fukunaga (father), Kon Fukunaga (mother). He lived in Ruskin, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Tashme, BC and exiled to 2 August 1946.
