He was born on 24 April 1899. He was a sawmill hand. His family includes Kazo Furuhashi (father), Yoshi Furuhashi (wife; in Japan), Shunichi Furuhashi (son; in Japan), Kenji Furuhashi (son; in Japan), and Sayoko Furuhashi (daughter; in Japan). 944 West 6th Avenue, Vancouver, BC and 847 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC are listed as former addresses. He was forcibly uprooted to Pyramid Work Camp, BC and Mile 104, Upper Fraser, BC. He was exiled to Japan on 17 June 1946.
