She was born on 21 May 1881. She was a cook at various camps. Her family includes Shika Hamanishi (mother), Shoyohe Hamanishi (father), and Denehiro Hamanishi (husband; deceased). Her home address is listed as P.O. Box 228, 6th Avenue & Dyke Road, Steveston, BC. She was forcibly uprooted to Greenwood, BC and she was exiled to Japan on 2 August 1946.
