He was born on 10 September 1904. He was the Buddhist Reverend at the Fairview Buddhist Church. His family includes Kazu Hirahara (wife; nee Kazu Nishinaga), Ryusho Hirahara (father), and Risa Hirahara (mother; nee Risa Kusumoto). His home address is listed as 715 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Sandon, BC and exiled to Japan on 17 June 1946.
