He was born on 15 October 1870. He was a self-employed florist who owned his own shop at 3736 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC. His family includes Mutsu Ide (wife; nee Mutsu Takeuchi), Michiko Ide (daughter), Teiko Ide (daughter), Henry Ide (son), and Joe Ide (son). 4695 McHardy Street, Vancouver, BC is listed as a former address. He was forcibly uprooted to Tashme, BC and Hamilton, ON where he died on 27 June 1948.
