She was born on 3 December 1925. Her name is also listed as Tetsuko Kato. She was a student at Strathcona Elementary School. Her family includes Hisa Sugiyama [possibly also Hisa Kato] (mother) and Shizuo Kato (father). Her home address is listed as 791 East Cordova Street, Vancouver, BC. She was forcibly uprooted to Tashme, BC and was exiled to Japan on 2 August 1945.
