He was born on 15 March 1931. He was the sole beneficiary of the estate of Takeshi Kumagai. His family includes Masako Kumagai (mother) and Takeshi Kumagai (father). His home address is listed as Burquitlam, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Lemon Creek, BC. He was exiled to Japan on 2 August 1946.
