His family includes Shigeko Kuwahara (wife; also known as Naomi Kuwahara, nee Shigeko Okubo), Toshiko Kuwahara (daughter), Setsuo Kuwahara (son), Akira Kuwahara [also known as Akiharu Kuwahara] (son), Chizuko Kuwahara (daughter), Wakao Kuwahara (son), Harumi Kuwahara (daughter). He lived in Prince Rupert, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Slocan, BC.
