Murakami was born on 24 July 1884. He was a cannery hand employed by Kildala Cannery, Rivers Inlet, BC. His family includes Mine Murakami (mother), Fusakichi Murakami (father), and Nobu Murakami (wife; nee Nobu Kajioka; in Japan). He lived at Kildala Cannery, Rivers Inlet, BC, was forcibly uprooted to Solsqua, BC, and was exiled to Japan on 31 May 1946. His listed seized property includes: boat “T.M.”; tools; clothing.
