He was born on 26 February 1925. He was a student at Kitsilano High School, Vancouver, BC. His family includes Kiku Tehara (mother; nee Kiku Yamamoto) and Kiichiro Tehara [possibly Kichizo Tehara] (father). His home address is listed as 1668 West 1st Avenue, Vancouver, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to 15 Mile Camp, Hope-Princeton Highway, BC and was exiled to Japan on 31 May 1946.
