He was born on 7 February 1915. He was a logger employed by Stave Lake Cedar Company in Suicide Creek, BC. His family includes Naozo Yabuki (father) and Yoshi Yabuki (mother; nee Yoshi Yamamoto). He lived in Stave Falls, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Mark Dumonts’ Logging Comapny in Hunters’ Siding, BC.
