Company, Steveston, BC, His family includes Yone Sakata (mother; nee Yone Shoji),
Kiichiro Sakata (fahter; deceased at time of file), Chiyoko Sakata (wife; nee Chiyoko
Sakiyama; “yellow card”), Yoshiaki Sakata (son; born 13 May 1937), Yoneko Sakata (daughter;
born 11 November 1938), Kiyoe Sakata [possibly Kiyoye Sakata] (daughter; born 7 March
1941), and Shozo Sakata (brother). His home address is listed as P.O. Box 419, Steveston,
BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Bridge River, BC, care of Long Bros. Sawmill, Merritt,
BC and then to Shalalth, BC, care of Neal Evans Trans. Company. His listed seized
property includes his boat, the “E.S.,” purchased by Canadian Fishing Company Limited
and fishing nets.
