Kitade was born on 8 August 1898. She was a farmer employed by Mr. Kawase. Her family
includes Yasakichi Kitade (husband; deceased at time of file), Yasuo Kitade (son),
Tomiye Kitade (daughter; in Japan), and Kiyoshi Kitade (son; in Japan). Her home address
is listed as Dyke Road, Steveston, BC at House 21, Pacific Cannery. She was forcibly
uprooted to Greenwood, BC and to Alberta. Her listed seized property includes her
boat, the “Y.K.” or “S.K.,” sold to British Columbia Packers Limited, and household
belongings.
