Morishita was born on 25 August 1890. He was a fisherman formerly employed by B.C.
Packers, Steveston, BC. His family includes Tome Morishita (wife), Kiokusu Morishita
(son; also known as Kiokusu Bob Morishita, born 20 February 1928), Sentaro Morishita
(son; born 13 December 1930), Chizue Morishita (daughter; born 30 November 1929),
Fumie Morishita (daughter), Chiyoo Morishita (son; born 15 January 1926), and Masaharu
Morishita (son). His home address is listed as P.O. Box 169, Steveston, BC. He was
forcibly uprooted to Lethbridge, AB, care of N.P. Tracy. His listed seized property
includes his boat, the “E.M.,” which was sold to Canadian Fishing Company Limited,
fishing nets, and household belongings.
