Yonekichi Taniyama
Taniyama was born on 23 February 1883. He was a fisherman employed by B.C. Packers
Limited, Mill Bay Cannery, Nass River, BC. His home address is listed as Mill Bay,
Nass River, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Tashme, BC and was exiled to Japan on
2 August 1946. His boat, the “Nagusa,” fishing gear and fishing nets, were all seized
sold to B.C Packers Limited.
