Minamide was born on 16 November 1892. He was a fisherman employed by B.C. Packers,
Steveston, BC. His family includes Ichi Minamide (mother; nee Ichi Oye; in Japan),
Katsunosuke Minamide (father; deceased at time of file), Nao Minamide (wife; nee Nao
Kita), Shoji Minamide (son), Keiko Minamide (daughter), and Aiko Minamide (daughter).
His home address is listed as Steveston, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Lorette,
MB and was exiled to Japan on 24 December 1946. His listed seized property includes
his boats, the “K.M. #1”, sold to British Columbia Packers Limited and the “K.M./S.S.1284.”,
sold to Andrew Jorgensen, fishing nets, and household belongings.
