Scope and content
Katsuru Saito was admitted to Essondale from Kaslo on 29 April 1943; diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Saito had attempted to jump off the boat on her way to Kaslo. File contains reports from the BCSC and a contemporary postcard from Kaslo. Saito died on 31 May 1950 from uremia.

British Columbia. Mental Health Services created this archive which were transferred to the BC Archives from 1987 to 2000.
