Scope and content |
Respondent’s Factum for Rex vs. Floyd Berrigan. Berrigan had been charged, along with
Robert Hughes, John Petryk, and William G. Billamy, with the murder of Yoshyuki Uno on 16 January 1942 in his family’s confectionary store at 305 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver. Hughes fatally shot Mr. Uno during a robbery. All of the accused had pled not guilty
and were sentenced to death before being granted new trials.
