Scope and content
A report documenting the Supreme Court of Canada decision on the validity of Orders in Council P.C. 7355, 7356, and 7357, on the "repatriation" of Japanese Canadians. Present were The Chief Justice of Canada, Justice Kerwin, Justice Hudson, Justice Taschereau, Justice Rand, Justice Kellock and Justice Estey. The hearing occurred in January 1946 in front of counsel for the Attorney General of Canada, R.L Maitland, Attorney General of British Columbia, counsel for the Attorney General of Saskatchewan and J.R. Cartwright, F.A. Brewin and J.A. MacLennan, counsel for the Co-operative Committee on Japanese Canadians.
