This file contains a list of herring output for the 1939 season. Listed are figures for Tanaka and Co. and J. Kasho and Co., who both produced nearly 2000 tons of salted herring. Also in this file is correspondence regarding Japanese fishermen in Tofino who were purportedly fishing without a licence. And finally, the file includes a letter from S.C. Melander, Mt. Lehman, 30 December 1941, requesting to purchase a Japanese Canadian–owned fishing vessel.
