Minutes of a meeting held in Ottawa. On page five it outlines the regulation for immigrants with mental illness. It describes
an unwritten law and legislative procedures allowing for the deportation of immigrants
who have been in the country for less than five years. These procedures may have been
related to the deportation of Japanese Canadians out of mental hospitals.
