Scope and content |
This is the probate record of Kinji Takahashi who died in Vancouver on 2 March 1942. His widow, Kuni Takahashi, was moved to Christina Lake after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Kuni’s solicitor provides three affidavits advocating on her behalf for assets owed
when she invested into her deceased husband’s business K. Takahashi & Company, and for bonds rightfully owing (from company expenses) given that she was a naturalized
British subject.
