Scope and content
This file contains records from the Supreme Court of British Columbia in a court case. The Bank of Japan and Canada Trust act as plaintiffs in a dispute over the ownership of two blocks of undeveloped land in New Westminster. According to these documents, the property was owned by Onosuki Akiyama and sold to Toru Tamura in 1931. Both men resided in Japan before the outbreak of World War II and the Custodian of Enemy Property took over title in 1942.
