Scope and content
This is a scrapbook compiled by Vancouver Alderman Halford Wilson. It contains mostly newspaper clippings with periodic comments or markings. Included are a poster from the Immediate Action Committee of Victoria asking for the internment of Japanese-Canadians, and a threatening cut-out by a correspondent signed as “Sa-Ru-Na-Da.” There are also a couple of cardboard flags of one labelled, “The Naval Flag of Japan” and the other, “The National (and Military Flag) called ‘Hi no Maru.’”

Wilson, Halford David, 1904-1988 created this archive during his time as a Vancouver politician.
