From a miscellaneous file of clippings and magazines. The magazine features an article on actress Joan Fontaine who was born in Tokyo. In an interview Fontaine compares the Japan of her childhood (good memories) with the Japan she visited in the thirties (“black dreams.” Also in this file is a clipping from the Montreal Gazette, 2 October 1947. The article cites Mackenzie’s call for a strident immigration policy.
