Scope and content |
The first part of this file contains assorted documents relating to the work of the
Advisory Committee of Japanese Properties in Greater Vancouver, including a "List of Properties Which Have Been Valued But Have Not Been Considered
by the Committee" (undated), correspondence with Sidney Smith, and assorted other correspondence. The second part of the file is newspaper clippings
relating to the forced sale of property, anti-Japanese sentiment in BC, the deportation ("repatriation") of Japanese Canadians, and a handful of material
related to wartime reconstruction in Vancouver and Alderman Charles Jones' own political career.
