Dear Sirs:-
I would be pleased if you would be a good enough to let me have the following information.
I understand that in British Columbia there have been seized by the Government a number
of Japanese Fishing Schooners; may one of these be purchased or rented; and, if so,
at what price?
Is there year-round fishing, or is it seasonal? If seasonal would you kindly advise
me as to the same. Also, I wish information as to the sale or disposal of fish, e.g.
is there a ready market, etc.?
Is the above under Provincial or Dominion supervision? You might direct me to the
proper parties with whom to negotiate.
Trusting the above will not intrude too much upon your courtesy, and awaiting to hear
from
you at your early convenience, I am,
Yours very truly,
N.G. Robinson
P.S. Duplicate of this was sent to you dated the 29th inst., but I believe the same
was
not signed.

Terminology
Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese
Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment
and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes
of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological
choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
