Dear Sir:
You probably know the paper that we get out called "Diesel Doings". Marsh Limited are responsible for compiling the mailing list and have written me regarding the names of the new owners of the former Japanese fishing vessels. I am enclosing their letter and would appreciate knowing whether it is in order and not too much trouble to secure this list of names and any others that you might feel would like to receive this periodically. In the event that you did not receive our last copy, I enclose one herewith.
If this presents any difficulties or problems at all, please do not trouble in the matter as we do not want to ask for anything that is out of order.
Yours very truly,
VIVIAN ENGINE WORKS LTD.

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
