DescThe site of the Vancouver Exhibition Association's Vancouver Exhibition (known today as the Pacific National Exhibition or PNE). In early 1942, exhibition buildings and stables were used to detain Japanese Canadians who were being forcibly uprooted from the BC coast (to be sent to internment sites in the interior or to work camps across the country).
