This file contains a copy of a newspaper article published in Winnipeg on 18 March 1946. The article is titled "Japanese-Canadian Veterans Welcomed," which
describes a gathering of more than 200 people. The article lists the following people
as the guests of honour at the gathering: Bill Saskaki, Goro Suzaki, Kaide Shimizu, Pat Saito, and Robert Kitijima. These guests of honour were greeted by C.G. Scrambler and Rev. E.W. Scott, co-chairmen of the Winnipeg Co-operative Committee on Japanese Canadians (which sponsored the gathering).
