This file contains personal correspondences, First World War memorabilia, telegrams of congratulations on Justice Cartwright's appointment to the Supreme Court of Canada, and personal notes made by Justice Cartwright at various hotel across the country. It consists primarily of documents dated up until the mid-1950s but does stretch back to the First World War.
Name of creator
Cartwright, J. R. (John Robert), 1895-1979 , a judge on the Supreme Court of Canada, created this archive and gave it to the LAC in 1972.
